Appendectomy for Appendicitis Associated with 58% Lower Colorectal Cancer Risk Than Antibiotics Alone
Patients who underwent an appendectomy for acute appendicitis had a significantly lower subsequent risk of colorectal cancer than similar patients treated with antibiotics alone, according to new research.
